Edecy is an AI assistant that runs on a single machine I own. One desktop computer, one graphics card, sitting in a room in Perth. The panel beside this text is that machine's real memory, read a few seconds ago.
Nothing typed into it leaves the machine
Every message is answered on that card and then forgotten. There's no company behind Edecy, no analytics and no training pipeline, so there's also nobody who could read your conversations. That's a property of the wiring, which is worth more than any policy document promising the same thing.
The trade is honest. It's slower than the big cloud models, it goes down when the machine does, and a few people share it. In exchange it costs nothing and refuses nothing reasonable.
